As part of the component "The media and communication," specifically the initiative "Local is primary" of the OSCE Mission in B&H, Vesta Radio will produce four radio programmes which will be based on real-life examples of ordinary people. The programmes will give a short description of the problem, then focus on the citizens' achievements and the benefits citizens gain from taking action in their communities, in cooperation with other communities or municipalities.

The project of Association Vesta, which is financially supported by the Tuzla Municipality, strives to strengthen the organizational capacities of 11 associations of agricultural producers in the Tuzla Municipality, so that during 2010 the associations would have clear strategic guidelines for action based on EU postulates of rural development, developed procedures for member management and increased incomes from the grant plans of local and international donators.

The project of Association Vesta, which was financially supported by the Tuzla Municipality, is a contribution towards the implementation of the policy of energy efficiency in accordance with EU standards, and other obligations that the state must fulfill on its road to the EU, and is specifically directed on supporting entrepreneurs through training and awareness-raising.

The European Commission adopted the strategic directions of EU financial assistance for Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Multi-annual Indicative Planning Document - MIPD for the years 2009-2011 defines that financial assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina aims to support the country in three main areas, namely political reform and building up of democratic institutions, economic reform, and ability to assume the obligations of membership. A special component of the programme will finance cross-border cooperation.

The non-governmental organizations and the youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina wish for a quicker integration of the country to the European Union, as well as faster action of the authorities at all levels and better cooperation with them. This is the main message, i.e. the summary of ten public debates of the non-governmental sector. The debates were held throughout BiH during the last three months under the auspices of the EU Special Representative in BiH, Mr. Valentin Inzko, and Mr. Jiří Kudela, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, the country presiding over the European Union.
