The management

 

Amra Selesković is the director of Association Vesta and one of the co-founders of the organization. After graduating from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and several years of valuable experience in the media and international organizations, she decided to invest her knowledge into the development of a local non-governmental organization and thus contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of the people in her community. For the last ten years, she has worked as the Association manager, and coordinated the development of project ideas and application processes. In addition, she has considerably contributed to the development of other organizations through networks and specialized trainings. She has an expertise in counseling in the areas of gender equality, non-profit media in the local community, project management, civil society in the process of European integration, and is a certified trainer for trainers and a facilitator in public debates.

Indira Prljaca is a program manager at the Association Vesta. After graduating from the Faculty of Philosophy; Department of oriental philology, the University of Sarajevo, the professional reorientation starts in the NGO sector. Working in the NGO TALDi more than 14 years, she gained the specific cross-sectoral competences in the area of the NGO capacity building, promotion of entrepreneurship, facilitation of the strategic and local economic development projects and support to development initiatives. During the period of her work as the director of TALDi (2003-2010.), she was responsible for the project management of numerous projects, and training / consulting programs delivered to NGOs, government institutions, local communities and other beneficiaries in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans. Continuous professional development is marked by the certifications in the areas of organizational, institutional, project and business management, and particularly significant is a successfully completed two-year process (June 2006 - June 2008.) of International Advisory Certification in the Netherlands consulting agency, MDF Training & Consultancy. 

Marijana Ivaković is the project assistant in Association Vesta. She implemented her previous experience gained in the media in the development and coordination of Vesta Radio programmes. Through these activities, and especially through work with volunteers from the community who used the services of the radio to advocate an improvement in the living conditions of minority and marginalized citizen groups, she developed an affinity for working in the non-governmental sector. In Association Vesta she is engaged in the development, coordination and implementation of projects whose activities ensure a more active role of citizens in the decision-making processes. Since her professional orientation is the law, she is currently working on projects whose goal is the promotion and better recognition of the human rights of vulnerable citizen groups, particularly women and children.

Dragana Bulić is a project coordinator at the Association Vesta. After graduating Sociology with Psychology at the University of Greenwich, London, she returns to BiH and starts her professional engagement with the UN Agency for refugees, working on assisting and protection of refugees and displaced persons, managing and implementing sustainable return programmes. Experience gained in UNHCR operations in BiH and Afghanistan, she continues at the Landmine Survivors Network BiH, taking on responsibility for managing programmes aimed at recovery and empowerment of landmine/ conflict survivors. Extensive engagement with the programmes of the BiH Network, she continues through taking over development/ management of the SEE Regional programme for assisting victims of war, conflict and torture, with the Survivor Corps. Fields of engagement mainly pertain to protection of refugees and dps, victim assistance, development, management and implementation of victim assistance programmes, management of human and financial resources. Currently engaged on the project 'Strengthening the role of civil society organisations in monitoring the state Strategy for combating violence against children 2011-2014 in BiH'.

Zumreta Beširević is the financial bookkeeper in Association Vesta. After graduation from secondary commercial school and the additional training for an independent accountant, she gained her invaluable professional experience in several respectable Tuzla companies, accounting agencies and non-governmental organizations. In Association Vesta, she successfully manages activities in the area of accounting and finances, and her wide life and work experience is of great assistance to all the Vesta staff.

Mirza Efendic is the project coordinator at the Association of Vesta. After and during the economic studies, in addition to more than eight years experience in working in the NGOsector, the additional experience has gained while working for a several private companies in different positions and different areas. For two years he worked in consultative body „Youth Voices Group“ at the World Bank Office in BiH, first as a member and later as coordinator of the Group on Youth Employment. His Certification for trainer in the field of Project management should be mentioned, as well as trainig fields of communication and presentation skills in the Youth Porgramme of the European Commission. Currently, he is engaged as a coordinator on the project "Introduction of anti-corruption measures at universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina". He is also Co-founder and member of several non-governmental organizations in Tuzla.

Sabina Nadzakovic is a project assistant at Vesta Association, whom she joined following many years of experience at the UN Agency for Refugees, where she worked in administrative, programmatic and public relations units. As for her NGO experience, she gained it working for an international and then local NGO, where she managed one of its organisations units in BiH. She is currently a law student, and an interpreter at court, actively translating for many yers-English language. She is engaged in Vesta Association on the project of introduction of anti-corruption measures at the Universitites of Tuzla and Banja Luka, but will also support members of Vesta team who are working on the projects of strengthening the role of civil society in the promoting of human rights and democratic reforms in BiH.

Nerma Sakić is a project assistant at Vesta Association.. Following completion of journalism study program at the Faculty of Philosophy, she worked in the media for several years. She then changed her professional orientation and built her capacities in the marketing planning and public relations. She worked in a number of companies as a marketing manager and PR. N. Sakic joined the NGO sector in 2010, and is currently working on the projects related to promoting of human rights, and the EUSR project „Citizens for Europe“. The latter project is aimed at increasing the intensity and quality of public debate on key measures that need to be implemented in order to improve the living standard of BiH citizens, so that the country can get closer to the European Union.

Alem Sinanović is a project assistant at Vesta Association. He works on the development and implementation of projects whose activities are contributing to citizens' active participation and initiating processes of social change. They are aimed at achieving equality of all citizens and socio-economic development of the society as a whole. He gained experience working on the projects of support to citizens' initiatives, as well as campaigns for reduction of effects of discriminatory and xenophobic elements in return areas, and respect of socio-economic rights of minority returnees in North-Eastern BiH. He is currently working on the project ''Gender sensitive budgets as part of reform changes on the path of European integrations and the basis for improvement of women's rights in BiH“.

Larisa Buševac is an administrative assistant at Vesta Association. She is responsible for project financial reporting to donors. She gained her experience in the NGO sector through a five-year engagement at Vesta Association, working on projects related to: Development of local communities, prevention and supression of violence among children, gender equality, and protection of human rights of women, children and marginalised groups in the society. Her work on these projects is closely related to her profession profile in pedagogy-psychology.
