Finished project

Vesta Association started implementing activities within the project „Panel discussions on European initiatives for development of rural communities“. The project's objective is to contribute to a better understanding of the EU, its policies and programs, as well as benefits of EU member countries in this respect.

13.01.2012

Vesta Association from Tuzla is implementing the project “Monitoring of local services: civil society organisations (CSO), citizens and local authorities acting together to achieve better services”. Implementers of the project are Civil Society Promotion Centre from Sarajevo and the EDA Development Agency Banja Luka, funded by the Open Society Fund in BiH.

11.01.2012

With the support of the Canadian organisation WACC, Vesta Association will implement the project „Our radio-our voice – women in BiH taking part in the decision making processes“. This project's objective is to support marginalised groups of women in Tuzla Municipality. The project foresees that, following a custom-made training, and with the use of media space at Vesta Radio, representatives of marginalised women will raise their most pressing issue, , raise their voices, and that their priorities and needs become recognised by the local decision makers.

With a view to contribute to the improvement of the position of women, through exercising of human rights by newly delivered mothers in BiH, in the period November 2011-April 2012 Vesta Association will implement the project „Initiative for harmonising of maternity benefits in BiH“, funded by the UN Agency for Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women.

With a view to contribute to improvement of the civil society's role in the promoting of rights and in democratic reforms in BiH, and in line with the guidelines on EU integrations, Vesta from Tuzla, in cooperation with the Youth Communicatio Centre (OKC – Omladinski komunikacioni centar) from Banja Luka, is implementing the project Introducing anti-corruption measures at universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

With an aim of contributing to strengthening of the civil society organizations’ role in promotion of human rights and democratic reforms in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Association Vesta, in partnership with Association Zemlja djece Tuzla, realizes project Strengthening of the role of civil society organizations in the monitoring of the state Strategy for combating violence against children 201-2014 in BiH Associate partner in the project realization is Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees BiH – The Human Rights Department.

With a view to contribute to the strengthening of the role of civil society in the promoting of human rights and democratic reforms in BiH in the field of gender equality and strengthening of women's role, VESTA Association from Tuzla is implementing the project „Socio-economic strengthening of the position of rural women through active participation in the local development plans.“ The project is implemented with the support of the US Government's Special Fund aimed at strengthening of the position of women, through the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
